Report card

I received the oil analysis report from Blackstone Laboratories. Lead appears to be a little high, but they said that it doesn't seem to be cause for alarm since the other numbers are within normal limits. So . . . no indication of anything that might be related to the hard starts. It's likely the hard starts were simply due to lower temps. It's encouraging to know that the engine is within spec, at least as far as the oil analysis is concerned.
