I don't know anything specifically about the Spin-Tec system, but I do know that you will never regret making the decision to switch to roller furling.
This looks like a nice, simple system. I look forward to reading your comments on it as the season progresses.
We bought the system on the recommendation of another CD36 owner. It's unique in that it doesn't have an upper swivel. The disadvantage is that it's necessary to go aloft to secure or remove the sail. Hopefully the simplicity of the design will preclude a scenario in which the sail wouldn't furl and it would be necessary to drop it. We shall see.
