You, too, can make...

a winter cover for your boat in less than a year! Somehow that just doesn't have the ring I was hoping for. Oh well. Yep, I finally finished the winter cover - just this evening, in fact. I finished the sewing last night, adding a hem around the edge of the cover and sewing on several pieces of nylon webbing as tiedown points. Then this evening Jake and I fished two 50-foot pieces of braided rope through the hems before taking the cover over to the boat around 7:30. An hour later, the cover was on and (mostly) secured; I forgot to buy rope for the tiedowns so I was only able to secure half of the cover's straps. Tomorrow I'll get some more rope and tie the thing down.
All in all, the cover looks pretty good. I wish I'd been able to finish it last season, but I'm pleased to have it done and on now.

I have included a write up of the construction process in the projects page, available HERE
